Land Director, immediate and strategic land
Bristol, South West
Permanent position – circa £85k- £100k plus car, package and bonus
My client is a well-known and established land and development business that operates across the South West region. They have won numerous awards for their work and are a very agile and modern business that allow for flexible working.
They are continuing to grow as a business and are keen to take further advantage of the South West development market.
Land is the lifeblood of this business (of any developer actually) and they cover both immediate and strategic land largely for residential and commercial development. As the remit is quite wide, you will have the opportunity to be more entrepreneurial in your approach – as long as there is an angle, it will be considered.
This position will require a strong network of contacts, whether they be agents, land-owners, institutions and other such professionals. You will be required to identify, source, and acquire development opportunities with or without planning.
As this role is likely to be remotely-based, you will need to have a high-degree of autonomy and ensure progress and reporting is fed back regularly to the Managing Director. Ultimately you will be there to secure development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced land professional; either Land Director or Senior Land Manager who has a fantastic network of contacts across the South West.
Strong negotiation and communication is required for this role, and you will also require a professional management style and the ability to work autonomously.
Somebody who is a self-starter and wants a wide remit to source opportunities that cover multiple sectors will get on very well here.
